All of the cards in this post are Standard A2 size/4 1/4 X 5 1/2.
So for this weeks MFTStamps Wednesday Challenge I pulled out the “Smitten Kitten Set“. I had a really rough time making this card, I used colored pencils but I wasn’t happy with the results of the coloring. Then I have seriously been going through my stash and using things! I pulled out a bunch of stickers I have an entire drawer, I am never going to used that many stickers so no more buying any! I figure if I keep telling myself that maybe it’ll be true. I used some scrap paper from a previous Scrapping for Less monthly card kits. I also had some Studio Calico Seven Paper 4 X 4 cardstock images and I ended up using one for the center circle. I have no idea where it came from or how old it is so I don’t know if it’s available, again I am here destashing my life! For the sentiment, it was from a clear sticker sheet. I added a few sequins and called it day!
Since I had all the images colored and cut out I made this using a light pink base, paper from Studio Calico set, stickers from the clear set. The 4X4 Studio Calico paper I used the stitched circle die, I popped that up with some foam tape and another circle with a pale yellow scrap piece of paper. I added the images and called it day.
My next couple cards are from the Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit. These were all pretty fast and simple since I stamped, colored and cut out the images a while ago. For the first card I used the scan and cut to make the doily from cardstock that came with the kit, used the red card base, added the butterfly images, a sentiment from the set with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, a few sequins, clear plastic drops, of course, the Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen and finally stamped the wind flying stamp thing LOL what is that called actually?
Up next, I used a bright yellow piece of cardstock for the front panel and a frame die to out a piece from a piece of cardstock I just blended some Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide on super quick, and used the inside piece and popped it up with some foam tape, I just used a white card base. I added the images to the panel, stamped a sentiment and wind flying stamp with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, added sequins, clear plastic drops, and the sparkle pen!
The final card, I don’t think took ten minutes to make. I saw a sketch on the Your Next Stamp Blog. I thought it would be good for the butterflies. I picked a piece for the front panel, three other patterned papers and die cut stitched circles with leaving parts hanging off. That way the circle wasn’t complete, made a quick banner with a sentiment stamp, added sequins and used the sparkle pen!
The final card I used the Gerda Steiner Design Stamp Sets “Go Wild” and “Party Animals” I used Momento Tuxedo Black Ink to stamp the images, colored pencils to color the images, and the Scan n Cut to cut out the images. I have a bunch of frames from an old scrapbook kit, I pulled out one of them and it had the leafy background on one side and the solid green on the other. I adhered the images to the inside piece of the frame using a tape runner and the leafy side of the paper. I framed it with the solid green side. I used a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp “Beautiful Day” set and added it to the license plate.
