Hi Everyone! Luci here and I’m over at the Southern Girls Challenge Blog with some inspiration using the Wizard Gnome image from KLM Designs. Be sure to join the Anything Goes Challenge for your chance to win!
I used a purple card base from my stash that is an A2 size or 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 inches.
I created a galaxy background panel from Neenah 110lb solar white cardstock, distress oxide inks, water, and white acrylic paint. I ink blended all of the colored inks onto the paper, then blended the black soot ink on top of it and sprayed it with water. After I blotted it dry I used my heat tool to dry it completely. Then I used a dab of white acrylic paint and added a little water and splashed it on the card. I sprayed the panel with shimmer spray to finish it off (check out my DIY shimmer spray video). I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and Brutus Monroe Embossing Ink. The sentiment is from the “Catcher of the Beast” Kindred Stamp Set. I used fun foam to pop up the panel on the card after I cut it to 4 X 5 1/4 inches, it also helps it to stay straight if you have some warping from the water and heat.
I used Prismacolor Pencils to color the wizard and my Scan N Cut to cut the image out. I popped it up with fun foam. To finish off the Wizard I used tiny silver stars from a sequin pack on the hat and robe of the wizard, one larger one for the wand, and my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen all over the wizards’ hat and robe.
Thanks for stopping by and join the challenge for your chance to win!
A really fun card Luci! Hugs, Wends xoxo
